500mg: "Another Order of Existence" CD (Archive CD, USA) A two-part experimental acoustic guitar offering funneled through a train load of pedals and effects and ejected from a Marshall stack by Michael Gibbons of Bardo Pond (and all things Philadelphia and psychedelic). Recorded in 2007 at the world's noisiest book store, BigJar in Philly. The front cover is die cut with an inserted picture from the performance printed on vellum, hand glued and assembled. 500 copies. |

AI ASO: "The Chamomile Pool Show" DVD (Archive CD, USA) Ai Aso is probably most well known outside Japan for appearing on Michio Kurihara's solo CD and the B-side of the lavishly produced split 7" with Wata. This DVD documents 2007 Tokyo concert footage. Hypnotically delicate, angelic and minimal. Guest appearances by Wata and Kurihara. Produced by Atsuo of Boris, directed and edited by Ryuta Murayama of foodunited (responsible for Boris, Greenmachine, SBGM DVD's). Ai's first non-Japanese release. 600 copies. |

CHARLIE DRAHEIM: "Choose to Lose" 7" (BloodLust!, USA) "This is the first release on BloodLust! by Detroit's Charlie Draheim, and I could not be happier. Draheim has been a major figure in both my social and my musical cosmologies during the last few years, and his recordings and his live shows have reached such a peak-state that I could not hold off any longer in releasing some of his intense, blasting electronic noise. The choice is yours... win or lose? Private series number twelve." White vinyl, edition of 300. |

KOUSOKUYA: "Echoes From Deep Underground" CD+DVD (Archive CD, USA) Cult garage pysch rock trio formed in Tokyo in the 70s in the Tokyo by the recently deceased Jutok Kaneko. This release is to date the only officially released video document of Jutok and Kousokuya, and represents a chance for fans of obscure psych to see a band and artist that played outside of Japan only a handful of times. This pressing of 700 copies comes packaged in a 1/2 fold heavy black stock cover with metallic silver and gloss varnish silkscreen work by the wonderful Alan Sherry of SIWA records. The CD and DVD come in black envelopes held together by a silkscreen obi strip. |

PRURIENT: "Whip Enthusiasts" 7" (BloodLust!, USA) For this single, Dominick Fernow seems to have crafted the ultimate Prurient statement for BloodLust! - two tracks that seamlessly combine Fernow's "Pleasure Ground"-style minimal-synth leanings with his most caustic, raw, black metal lust - resulting in a truly brutal mutated style of power-electronics; private series number eighteen. RELIGIOUS KNIVES: "Live at Bigjar" CD (Archive, USA) A four track live disc recorded in August of 07. While Religious Knives represent half the former output of Double Leopards, the output from this quartet is anything but. Raw and dirty garage rock for keyboards, bass, guitar and drums that sounds more comfortable being off the Doors early demo days box set rather then a No Fun offshoot band. Comes in a half-panel sleeve graphic work by now frequent archive art collaborator Chase Middaugh. Pressing of 600 copies, sold out from the label. |

SWORD HEAVEN: "Piles" 7" (BloodLust!, USA) "For those who could use the help, imagine "Filth"-era Swans and "Kollaps"-era Einsturzende Neubauten, meeting for a recording session in some horrid, massive factory basement, but only two guys showed up, and they still managed to simply pulverize the hell out of everything. "Piles" is a breakdown from the middle of a live song called "Under the Face," which was recorded in September, 2006. The song is usually only about two minutes long, but on that night, the breakdown itself lasted for 7 minutes. The band split it into two parts, retaining all of the screaming, the feedback, the pounding, and the scraping. Private series number fourteen." White vinyl, edition of 300. |
