GALAX: "Never Ending Space Trackin'" CD (Archive CD, USA)
Astro's Hiroshi Hasegawa with Keichi Miyashita (Mandog) on guitar on 2 long spaced-out live recordings with an ambient-psychedelic feel, joined by AMT's Hiroshi Higashi on the 3rd, longest track. 2006 recordings. Pressing of 600 copies.

GAPING MAW: "Two Improvisations" CD (Archive CD, USA)
"Frenzied trio live recordings for Drums (Tatsuya Nakatani), Mini Moog (Kyle Bruckmann), and Bass (Kurt Johnson). Most notable member would be Kurt Johnson who spent some time earning his stripes in the Chicago improv scene and providing bass power to the Flying Luttenbachers for a few years. This disc more or less is like kicking a band down a flight of stairs over and over. Some ebb and flow is mixed in over the 40mins disc which is enough to provide some balance, but for the most part this disc jumps on you from the get-go and runs hard front to back."

GERRITT: "...Sails the Sea of Displacement" LP (Dielectric Records, USA)
"Gerritt's ambient soundscapes give your imagination free reign to visit dark corners and unsettling spaces. This record is an invitation to the things you secretly fear to start rustling about in your basement... your closet... or right behind you." Limited to 500.

GERRITT: "Space Level Blaze" CD (Misanthropic Agenda, USA)
Rather hypnotic sheets of pure sonic force. Recorded live in 2003. John Wiese edited and arranged, guests on one track.

CARLOS GIFFONI/LASSE MARHAUG: "Lesbian Brunch" CD (Archive CD, USA)
Another sold-out Archive CD. Simply killer harshness from 2 of noise's biggest stars (if it's okay to use that word). It's the sense of structure, the layers of clearly audible shifting and changing sounds, that make this one outstanding.

$18.00

CARLOS GIFFONI: "Welcome Home" CD (Important, USA)
"...highly respected and active NYC collaborator who typically shares the stage and records with the likes of Jim O'Rourke, Nels Cline, Chris Corsano, John Duncan, Massimo, Thurston Moore and many others..."
Carlos is of course "the NO FUN guy" and is one of the best live laptoppers I've ever heard.

GOATS: "Collective Unconscious" CD (Bloodbath Records, Japan)
For those of you who miss Multiplex, or are waiting for the return of Hellchild, here's something else to sink your teeth into. "Progressive Thrashing Death Metal from Shiga, Japan, their 2nd full length album. More complicated/sophisticated 9 songs, with high technique!!! Brutal and Heavy, but completely original style. GOATS is the second to none."

GOH LEE KWANG & LAU MUN LENG: "Active" CD-R (Neus-318, Japan)
"Collaboration work by Malaysian GOH Lee Kwang and LAU Mun Leng. Glitch electronics noise and synth discord. Very high mix."

GOSLINGS: "Grandeur of Hair" CD (Archive CD, USA)
This band has suddenly become a favorite of fans of overmodulating noise-rock. I'm kind of partial to it myself. Orders for their last CD were so intense I had to give up my personal copy! Here's more of the goodness.

GRAVE IN THE SKY: "Cutlery Hits China: English For the Hearing Impaired" CD (Heart & Crossbone, Israel)
"The Sludge-core scene is injected with a poison: Horror movies' DVD subtitles are being gargled and forced into song lyrics, backed up by heavy poundings and black metallic space-rock dirges, on this new release from Rani Zager (Poochlatz /Lietterschpich), Maor Appelbaum (Poochlatz/Sleepless/Screening) and Matan Shmuelly (Armilos). Check this out if you're into Hey Colossus, Corrupted, Gravitar, Darkthrone and Electric Wizard.
Overblown as fuck, 44 min long, 999 copies."

KEIJI HAINO with BORIS: "Black: Implication Flooding" CD (Alienation, Japan)
Live recording from 1997, probably the most difficult listening in the Boris catalog--they were up to the challenge of collaborating with Haino. Song title fairly sums it up: Offer It All Up, Our Madness That Will Be Crushed On This Land That Has Come To Be Called Chaos Unzipped.

HAIR POLICE: "Hair Police" CD (Hospital Productions, USA)

HEAVY WINGED: "Feel Inside" CD (Archive, USA)
Three long playing journeys into psych noise dronedom--comes off like the Bardo Pond brothers recording in the lo-fi high fuzz induced kitchen of the Goslings. Comes packed in a double cover, center-opening sleeves with the outer shell being a vellum overlay wonderfully executed graphically by Chase Middaugh. Single pressing of 600 copies.

TIM HECKER: "Mirages" CD (Alien8 Recordings, Canada)
Erodes the vapid predispositions of electronic music, uncovering a terrain where dissonance and melody coincide in a near-bohemian unison. A unique approach to music in an increasingly overcrowded and generic field... reconciles a highly experimental approach to song craft that is at once beautiful and unnerving.

JOHN HEGRE, LASSE MARHAUG, HELGE STEN: "The Comfort of Objects" CD (Ohm Records, Norway)
Hegre and Marhaug of JAZZKAMMER and Sten each work with the same source material. Results range from ambient to full-on noise. Yet another interesting one from these guys.

HYBRYDS: "Tryptykh" CD (Tantric Harmonies, Russia)
A collection of unreleased live versions of the best tracks from this esoteric legend, working in the ritual - mythical -industrial and magical music scene. This band is known for its mind expanding sound. Another gorgeous Tantric experence.
